Northport-based CardBrowser, which charges companies to view its catalog of business cards collected at trade shows, has signed a new client - IBM Corp.
CardBrowser clients pay $2,495 to $10,000 for a one-year subscription to its online collection of more than 55,000 business cards. (For $2,495, recruiters get to search and view the cards. The $10,000 package, typically used for sales leads, allows clients to download the cards.)
Other high-profile clients of CardBrowser, a unit of PeopleComm Inc., include Apple Computer.
PeopleComm CEO Steve Morgan said CardBrowser has expanded its geographical horizons by selling to companies in Asia and along the Pacific Rim. Morgan said CardBrowser also is reaching beyond the technology category to life sciences companies.
